The left-handed batter has been struggling to play a big innings for Pakistan

Saim Ayub has batted in 19 innings for Pakistan so far. — ScreengrabSaim Ayub failed once again as he just scored two runs on seven balls during the second T20I between Pakistan and England which took place at the Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham, on Saturday. Saim, 21, has now batted in 19 innings but he only managed to amass 286 runs at a mediocre average of 15.05 and 127.67 strike rate. There were doubts on whether he should be included in the World Cup squad but the left-hander was eventually named in the squad. With the T20 World Cup right around the corner, and with just two more matches to play before the mega event, Pakistan need to move on from Ayub and trust other batters as there are multiple options.Three reasons why Pakistan should move on from Saim Ayub Multiple optionsPakistan have multiple players who are capable of playing as an opener and they have proved in the past as well. The opening pair of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam has created multiple records in T20I cricket and the Green Shirts should think of going back to the old pair as Saim continues to fail.Other than Babar and Rizwan, Pakistan can also use Usman Khan or Fakhar Zaman as openers. Zaman has played as an opener in the past while Usman can be tested at that position due to his ability of playing aggressive cricket, something which Pakistan desperately need in the powerplay.Too many chances givenSaim Ayub has batted in 19 innings without any noteworthy performance, not many players in the history of Pakistan have been given this many chances. Despite being backed by the captain and management, Saim continues to fail and keeps on throwing his wicket away by playing the same shot(s) repeatedly. As the World Cup is just a week away, the Men in Green should think of finding a new opener as there will be no room for error in the mega event.Puts extra pressure on the teamSaim was brought into the team to utilise the powerplay but ever since his debut, that has not been the case. He has been continuously failing to play big in the powerplay and often gets out by hitting the ball at deep square leg. Furthermore, not giving much attention to the match situation, Saim, at times, focuses more on playing his trademark “no look” shot but ends up losing his wicket. This puts extra pressure on the team as they are one wicket down in the first few overs. Saim Ayub Comments Submit مضمون کا ماخذ:پاور بال آن لائن خریداری
